This heat bond seaming iron by Roberts is a more professional choice to the Roberts deluxe heat bond seaming iron. It features the same low profile, streamlined design as the deluxe, however, the cool shield minimises deforming of carpet and stays 175 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than its base plate. The base on the cool shield, unlike the deluxe is grooved, allowing ridges to be placed in the tape for stronger seams.
